Clare Goodridge

Clare’s focus at Goldsmiths was very much on the importance of entrepreneurship in the creative industries, as well as the value the creative industries had to offer business thinking.

After graduating Clare returned to her hometown Perth, Western Australia with great passion for this focus and began looking for ways in which to bring it to life in a very isolated city that was on the brink of a significant cultural awakening.

This move led to a myriad of career opportunities, initially at The Hub, a marketing communications agency that had a strong focus on the management and promotion of ethical indigenous art collectives and galleries.Clare then became Communications and Sponsorship Manager for STEPS Youth Dance Company, an opportunity to develop specific areas of expertise in corporate sponsorship, digital strategy for the arts and crowdfunding.

Clare also founded her own company The Creative Arts House – a Perth based marketing and communications consultancy specialising in the Arts and Creative Industries. She aimed to nurture entrepreneurial activity and focus on promoting connectivity between the arts, businesses and investors to create 'clever clusters' of creative activity within Perth’s growing entrepreneurial ecology. Currently, Clare works at Tattoo Creative, a strategic planning, brand communications consultancy, focused on strategy-led design thinking. The company focuses on asking clients from a number of sectors (cultural, government, corporate, retail, fashion) to commit to making all communication emotional to create exciting and engaging messages that tattoo themselves indelibly on the mind of the market.
