Nicole Emmenegger

Nicole is a cultural producer, agitator and informer who has lived and worked in the US, Switzerland and England. She received her BA in Language, Literature & Culture from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio in 1998 and shortly thereafter moved to Zurich, Switzerland. She occupied herself there for eight years working across both the corporate sector and the cultural world as an events producer, editor, journalist and DJ. She worked for community radio station Radio LoRa, collaborated on events and concerts with the likes of Les Complices* and The Rote Fabrik's Shedhalle Gallery as well as various art squats around town.

In 2007 she decided to study a Master's degree programme that would advance her leadership knowledge in the cultural sector - the Arts Administration & Cultural Policy MA at Goldsmiths turned out to be the perfect fit. After completing the course in 2008, Nicole immediately landed a dream job at Arts & Business in London as Knowledge & Information Manager, bringing together much of her past experiences and skills into one role.

In her spare time Nicole manages to host a website and blog on women in punk as well as helping to organize the odd event now and again including Mother Festival in London in 2010 and a programme of events for the Swiss pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2011.
