Renata McDonnell is a fundraiser for the Roundhouse in Camden. Renata took the MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy in 2005/06 at Goldsmiths with Gerald Lidstone. During the course, she undertook a six month internship with the Roundhouse in November 2005 as Community Development Assistant working in the creative centre for 11-25’s. She subsequently joined the Development team in June 2006 as Trusts Officer fundraising from trusts and public sector. In July 2008 she was promoted to Development Manager leading on fundraising from trusts and public sector.
Renata has a strong background in performing and visual arts having completed an MA in Drama Studies and History of Art and Architecture from Trinity College Dublin in 2003. At university she was involved with student theatre, Dublin University Players, performing onstage and behind the scenes by holding a position of Front of House Manager. She was also part of a team that brought a show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2001. Following graduation she became Editor-in-Chief of Trinity News, the oldest student newspaper in Ireland. Following that year she worked in PR for two arts festivals and went on to join the Gate Theatre Dublin as Fundraising Assistant before moving to London in 2005. Renata enjoys being a photographer in her spare time and one day hopes to exhibit her work.
