Dr Giorgos Galanis has studied Mathematics and Economics at the Universities of Athens; City University, London; SOAS, University of London and University of Warwick. Before joining Goldsmiths, Giorgos was working as a visiting lecturer at the Economics Department of City University, London and is also a Senior Research Economist at the New Economics Foundation.
Giorgos' primary research focus is at the intersection of economics and political philosophy. His interests in this area include intergenerational distributive justice and sustainable development. Giorgos is also interested and has worked in problems related to environmental sustainability, financial instability and the relation between the two.
Giorgos has taught undergraduate Mathematics at the department of Mathematics and Engineering at City University; Economics for Business for undergraduate students at Warwick Business School and Mathematics for Economists, Financial Economics and Money and Banking at the department of Economics at City University.
