Goldsmiths International Pathways

Goldsmiths International Pathways are designed for students from outside of the European Union preparing to study for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Goldsmiths, or another UK institution. There are a selection of Pathways to choose from, depending on your academic qualification and your level of English language.

International Foundation Certificate Pathways

The International Foundation Certificate Pathways are for students from outside of the European Union who want to develop their academic English and their subject knowledge before beginning an undergraduate degree.  There are different Pathways according to your particular area of interest. Successful completion of the appropriate IFC Pathway will guarantee your progression to a 3 year undergraduate degree course at Goldsmiths.

 You should consider an IFC Pathway if:

  • your high school qualifications do not meet the level required academic standard for undergraduate study
  • you wish to take an undergraduate degree in a subject that is different from your prior study
  • you need to improve your study skills and use of academic English

Art Extension Degree Pathway

The Art Extension degree is for students who want to develop their artistic practice skills and knowledge alongside developing their academic English. This is a four year integrated course – so if you enrol on the Extension Degree and successfully complete each stage, you progress through the degree in four years.

 You should consider the Art Extension Degree Pathway if:

  • your high school qualifications do not meet the level required academic standard for undergraduate study
  • you wish to develop your artistic practice and creative skills ready for a degree in Fine Art
  • you need to improve your study skills and use of academic English

Integrated Degree Pathways

The integrated degrees are designed for students who are either native English speakers or who are already able to satisfy our English Language requirements but need to develop their subject content knowledge.  These are four year integrated courses – so if you enrol on an Integrated Degree and successfully complete each stage you progress through the degree in four years

You should consider an Integrated Degree Pathway if:

  • your high school qualifications do not meet the level required academic standard for undergraduate study
  • you wish to take an undergraduate degree in a subject that is different from your prior study

Pre-Masters Pathways

Our Pre-Master's pathways will fully prepare you for your future postgraduate study in the UK.  You have the opportunity to specialise in a range of subjects.  You will also improve your study skills and use of academic English - the essential skills you will need to study successfully at Master’s level. 

You should consider a Graduate Diploma Pathway if:

  • your undergraduate qualifications do not meet the level required for postgraduate study
  • you wish to take a master's in a subject that is different from your undergraduate degree
  • you need to improve your study skills and use of academic English
