Korean students are following a range of degree subjects at Goldsmiths, including Art & Design, Culture Industry, Media & Communications, Digital Media, Music, Sociology, Visual Cultures, Creative & Cultural Entreprenurship, pre-sessional English and foundation courses.
Korean students are also eligible to join our study abroad programme - ‘Study in London’, which gives international students the opportunity to live, study and socialise with Goldsmiths’ undergraduate students for one or two terms, or the full academic year and transfer their credit back to their home university. You can also be admitted as a postgraduate student.
Goldsmiths offers courses in a wide range of study areas, including art & design, anthropology, creative & cultural entrepreneurship, computing, cultural studies, education, English & linguistics, drama, history, media & communications, music, politics, psychology, sociology, social work and visual cultures.

If you need a little extra help and advice, you can choose to visit an overseas representative appointed by Goldsmiths in your country.
Goldsmiths has a series of scholarships for international students applying for postgraduate and research programmes. Postgraduate students may also be eligible for the Alumni Discounts Scheme. There are also several scholarship schemes available specifically for students in South Korea, including Chevening Scholarships and others. The International Office team visit South Korea at least twice a year to take part in the British Council events, attend higher education events, deliver presentations, interview potential applicants and meet with local alumni.

London has a long-standing Korean community, with many organisations promoting Korean language, culture and lifestyle. London is home to the largest Korean population of any European city, now thought to number over 20,000 people.
London boasts one of the finest Korean restaurants in the country and there are also many food shops and specialist supermarkets catering for any need and budget. These include Song’s Supermarket, Songane Super, Seoul Plaza and Jinmi Super.
The Korean Anglican Community Centre provides a range of innovative and exciting activities for the Korean community, ranging from a bi-monthly cultural seminar by visiting lecturers, to Korean language classes for British people. The borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames, south London, is home to an annual Korean festival, which celebrates traditional Korean food, costumes and music.
A wide range of specialist sporting clubs and associations has developed in London to fulfil the Korean community’s passion for popular pastimes such as the martial arts, including the World Tae Kwon Do Club based in Stoke Newington, north London, and the Korean Sports Council in the UK, based in New Malden.

Goldsmiths Student’s Union is proud to have its own Korean Society, open to any nationality interested in Korea, its culture, people, music, food and language. The society organizes regular events and gatherings. Please visit Goldsmiths Korean Society’s facebook group for more information.
Goldsmiths is located in New Cross, South East London, just 15 minutes to central London by train. Vibrant, urban and with great transport connections to Central London, it's an ideal base for experiencing and enjoying the capital.
There are many Asian groceries and restaurants in Deptford Market just ten miuntes walk from the main campus buildings. It is possible to buy rice, cooking sauces and other cooking ingredients a few minutes walk from campus.
