How to get to your hall of residence
As an international student you will be guaranteed a room in a College-controlled residence, provided your offer becomes unconditional and is firmly accepted by you by July 2008, and provided we have received your completed accommodation application form. Application forms received after 1 July 2008 will still be considered, and rooms will be allocated depending upon availability.
If you have been allocated accommodation in Loring Hall, Chesterman House, Dean House, Batavia Mews or St James Hall, report direct to the Reception Office at Loring Hall on arrival. Arrive at New Cross Gate Station, turn left and cross the road at the pedestrian lights, turn right and Loring Hall is in front of you at the junction of New Cross and St James. Take the first turning on the right, St James, where you will see the entrance to Loring Hall. College staff will direct you to your Hall.
If you have been allocated accommodation in Surrey House or Surrey House Annexe, report direct to Surrey House on arrival. Surrey House is approximately a 10-minute walk from New Cross Station. Turn right out of the station, right again into New Cross Road. Cross New Cross Road at the pedestrian crossing into Amersham Road keeping on the left hand side. Follow the road until you reach the traffic lights, cross over the road and Surrey House is on the left.
If you have been allocated accommodation in Raymont Hall, report direct to Raymont Hall on arrival. Raymont Hall is approximately a 20-minute walk from New Cross Station, so you are advised to take the Southern Trains Service from Charing Cross Station to Brockley Station. From Brockley Station follow the exit to Brockley Road. Cross the main road, turning right on the other side of the road. Take the next left into Harefield Road and at the end of this road turn right into Wickham Road. Raymont Hall is 25 metres further on the left hand side.
