About IT Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) is the central IT provider for all staff and students at Goldsmiths. ITS provides:

• IT infrastructure for Goldsmiths (servers, network etc)
• Computer facilities for students (PCs and Macs, scanners)
• IT support for students and staff through the ITS Help Desk
• Printing, photocopying and design related services
• Facilities for creating, editing and publishing digital media
• Design & management of the College’s web sites

The main centre of computer and media facilities provided by IT Services is the Rutherford Building (RB), which houses:

• Open Access computer areas (50 PCs, 70 Macs)
• Four Computer Teaching Rooms (60 PCs, 30 Macs)
• The ITS Help Desk
• The Digital Media Suite (12 Macs)

In addition, Media Services run an Equipment Centre which is located in Room 181 in the Richard Hoggart Building.

Design and Print Services are housed separately near the Richard Hoggart Building.

Finally, in the New Academic Building we have a computer lab with 18 PCs.
