Future Developments from IT Services

Email systems
IT Services is currently investigating alternatives to the Mulberry email system.

Goldsmiths Portal
We are also investigating a possible system that will enable a single sign-on. This would mean that any user need only login once to be able to access all Goldsmiths online facilties.

Development of the Open Access areas
IT Services is liaising with architects, the Library and Goldsmiths Estates to development the open access areas. We hope to make better use of space and facilities.

Vista
We are testing Vista behind the scenes to determine if it will be suitable to roll out across the College.

Institutional Data Archiving Programme
We are planning the implementation of next generation archiving facilities, including development of an institutional archiving framework, provision of archiving hardware and software to facilitate e-mail and file archiving and migration of existing archived data.
As part of the archiving programme, provision of dedicated additional storage/archiving for researchers.

UNIT-E Upgrade/replacement
This technical project will upgrade/replace the current version of the student administration system.
