Specialist support for research
There is often a need amongst staff and research students for specific advice about the software or hardware appropriate for a particular research project, or for help with a relatively complex research-related IT problem which is beyond the scope of the IT Services Help Desk. In such cases, researchers should contact IT Services’ Research Applications Officer, Duncan Branley (e-mail d.branley) for advice and assistance.
Queries of this sort from undergraduates or taught-course postgraduates, in particular those relating to coursework, should be addressed to the appropriate departmental tutor, rather than to IT Services.
