Email server Planned Outage
A planned outage is required to replace a faulty hard disk drive. This outage will commence at 6pm on 22/05/2012 for a duration of one hour.Unscheduled Interruptions
In the case of other, unscheduled disruptions of service resulting from failure of any part of the system, notices will be displayed in the RISB - most obviously on the large display screen by the turnstiles - and where possible a message sent out to departments via gcinfo. Information on all interruptions to network facilities is provided on this page.All network and server problems are treated as urgent, and faults are rectified as soon as technically possible, but the time needed to rectify unexpected problems is difficult to predict. For this reason, users are requested not to contact the IT Services Help Desk with repeated queries about resumption of service.
