Academic internet resources for cultural studies

  • The data archive houses the largest collection of computer-readable data in the social sciences and humanities in the UK, formerly known as the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) data archive.
  • MIMAS Manchester Information and Associated Services access and support for many large datasets, including the 1991 and 1981 UK Census of Population Statistics, government surveys, digital map and scientific datasets.
  • Intute social sciences A major resource. It is an extensive online catalogue of internet resources relevant to social science and humanities education and research.
  • Foreign affairs online good US site. Contains links to official government material, the UN, nongovernmental and intergovernmental organisations, news sources, maps, and texts of constitutions of different countries. Topics include human rights, international relations, and law.
