24/7 opening

Following the pilot 24/7 opening, we are very pleased to say that we will be continuing with extended opening hours. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our survey.

During term time, external users, including SCONUL Access Card holders, can not enter the library after 21:00 and if in the library should leave then.

Code of conduct

  • Entry and exit by Goldsmiths' swipe card only
  • Eating allowed ground floor only - no take-away meals allowed
  • No alcohol or drugs
  • Mobile phones - talking allowed ground floor only
  • Rubbish - please use the bins provided
  • Books and journals - put on the trolleys after use
  • Look after your valuables
  • If the fire alarm sounds, leave the building immediately, using the nearest fire exit

The General Regulations: Library and Library rules apply at all times.

Help Desk

The Help Desk is staffed 24/7 during term-time. A basic service is provided overnight from (21:00 to 06:00) and at weekends.

 

What we can do

√ Issue, return and renew items

√ Resolve Library account queries

√ Assist with Library enquiries

√ Accept PCounter credit payments for Library fines and sale of items

√ Accept credit & debit card payments for Library fines and sale of items £5 or over

√ Assist with printing and photocopying problems

√ Ensure that the Library is a safe environment to study in

 

What we can't do

x Accept cash payments for Library fines or sale of items

x Resolve complex Library account queries and enquiries

x Issue IT usernames and passwords

x Connect mobile devices to the wireless network

X Assist with software or hardware queries
