SCONUL Access Scheme

Borrowing
- Academic and research staff, postgraduate, part-time undergraduate and those on a placement lasting more than six weeks may borrow books.
- You must hold a valid Sconul Access card (available from your home institution) as well as registering beforehand with Goldsmiths' library.
- Bring your current Sconul Access and university cards from your home institution to the Information Services Reception desk in the Rutherford Building.
- You must allow up to 3 working days for your registration to be processed. Please check the Library opening times.
- Full-time undergraduate students and non-academic staff can use a Sconul Access reference card in Goldsmiths Library.
- Get your Goldsmiths Library card from the Security Office (Richard Hoggart Building) open:
Monday to Friday 12.00 - 2.00pm and 5.00 - 6.45pm
Saturday 12.00 - 2.00pm
Visitors please note
- All external users only have access to the building up until 9.00 pm.
- No access to computers (except the library catalogue). Holders of a valid Sconul access card have reference use of DVDs, videocassettes & sound recordings in the library.
- The library reserves the right, under the SCONUL operating principles, to limit borrowing to 3-week loan books, and offers the same borrowing entitlement that is extended to other external users.
