Media/Academic Partners (MAP)
Media/Academic Partners (MAP) provides training bodies in partner-countries with tailor-made programmes aimed at raising training standards for local media professionals. For MAP, this is the key to helping partners improve the sustainability and global competitiveness of their own media industries.
MAP’s core team are experienced practitioners across film, TV, radio, print and new media who also teach to MA and industry levels.

MAP’s background
The director of MAP, Judy Holland, has run writing courses in Africa and south Asia for ScriptNet and the British Council. She won a grant to research the market for training for local trainers in 2006 and ran a pilot course for the South Asia Media School, Lahore, in 2007. MAP was launched by the Department of Media at Goldsmiths in 2008 and is currently developing projects with universities or training bodies in Pakistan, Nigeria and China.
