The Department runs one of the largest postgraduate media programmes in the world.
Our theory postgraduate degrees are the MA Media and Communications (founded in 1993) and a range of more specialist degrees. Our practice postgraduate degrees offer specialisms in all major media. From summer 2011 in conjunction with ICCE, we are running short credit-bearing courses (CPD) that can lead to an MA in Professional Media Practice.
An increasing number of courses are now made available to students across both theory and practice sides of our postgraduate programme.
FEE WAIVERS NOW AVAILABLE for 2012/13 across all MA programmes to selected students. Whichever MA course you apply for this year, if you accept an unconditional offer you will automatically become eligible for the fee waiver scheme that will fund waivers equivalent in total to 13 full time home/EU fees. Overseas students are also eligible for the scheme. Only applications received by the official deadline will be considered for fee waivers. Successful students will be notified by May 30 2012.
ARTS AND HUMANITIES RESEARCH COUNCIL (AHRC) MA STUDENTSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR 2012/13: Our MA degrees are eligible for up to four AHRC Studentships for 2012/13 (three across our practice-based degrees and one across our theory-based degrees). If you receive an unconditional offer and would like to be considered for such a studentship, please contact your degree convenor who can advise you further.
