Monica Alonso, BA Media and Communications, won both First Prize in its category with her documentary Dispossessions at the 2002 'Real to Reel' festival in Glasgow and the Royal Television Society London Region Student Awards Factual Category in 2003.

Sharon Cresswell won the animation award for The Dirt Inside at the Ateliers d'Art International Film Festival 'Projections d'Argylle' in Paris
Alpraum, an animation by Max Hattler and Martin Heaton (2001) won the Dolby Sound Award at the Learning on Screen Award Ceremony. It was also shortlisted and commended in the student award category.
