Leonidas Skoutas
I argue that cinema works within contemporary culture as myth did in ancient communities in terms of function, ritual, archetypes and resolutions. I examine this argument in my study of post-junta Greek cinema, 1974-1989 and analyse how two clashing myths were created within this cultural environment.
