Robert Smith is a respected teacher of film and television at undergraduate and post-graduate level in several key Universities, currently leading the MA course in feature film at Goldsmiths. He left the Royal College of Art film school to embark on a career as cameraman, then director and currently as a producer. He is a director of Little Dancer Films and previously ran Frontroom Films. He has extensive knowledge of directing film drama, script editing, producing and management through, deal making, casting, budgeting, production, marketing, recouping revenue and modern management methods.
