Teaching Room Facilities
Media Services, through its staff in the Media Equipment Centre, currently support the use by staff of all the A/V systems in nearly 90 Teaching Rooms in the College.
These vary in complexity from the main Lecture Theatres that are referred to as 'Gold Standard Rooms', through the standard A/V setups in the bulk of the standard rooms, known as 'Silver Standard Rooms', to the Teaching Rooms that currently have an absolute minimum of A/V equipment known as 'Bronze Standard Rooms'. These latter rooms have not so far received permanent A/V installations because they have to be cleared of all fixed equipment for three months every year in order to accommodate the various Art Degree Shows and other exam-related events. These rooms are equipped with a modern, mobile, LCD screen-based solution.
