UK/EU Marketing and Recruitment
This section’s broad role is to lead on the marketing and recruitment strategies and operations addressing home (UK) and EU student markets, working closely with other sections of the Department.
Within the function there are three complementary operational strands, led and integrated by the Head of Marketing and Recruitment.
Marketing
The Marketing team is responsible for working with colleagues from across the Department and the College helping to devise and implement corporate and departmental marketing plans for Home/EU and International markets, devising appropriate targeted and segmented events in conjunction with the Student Recruitment team, and leading on CRM initiatives including communications with Home/EU targets.
The team is also responsible for planning targeted marketing communications, and collaborating with colleagues to maximise engagement with potential students and their advisers.
Student recruitment
The Student Recruitment team is responsible for planning and implementing all on and off-campus recruitment activities for UK/EU applicants (UG, PG and short courses), including: open days, tours and visits, and recruitment fairs – both in the UK and Europe.
The team also provides a wide range of services to assist students, parents, schools, colleges, careers advisors and teachers with support and advice on a wide range of university-specific and Higher Education related issues, such as talks or workshops on the benefits of university study, working with student ambassadors and alumni as appropriate.
The team also includes the Enquiries team who are responsible for ensuring that all Home/EU enquirers and applicants receive an impressive customer experience by providing the required information as quickly as possible, sourcing answers to queries and directing them to other relevant sources as appropriate.
Events
The Events team is responsible for the management of marketing and recruitment related corporate events including: Open Day; the regular campus tour programme; Postgraduate Information Sessions and the College’s annual Presentation Ceremonies (graduations).
