Undergraduate

The Department of Music at Goldsmiths is a vibrant and friendly department, with a long tradition of committed teaching at all levels. We have three undergraduate programmes: a BMus in Music, which looks at styles of music from classical to jazz, electronic to audiovisual, a BMus in Popular Music, and a joint honours programme with the Computing Department: BMus/BSc Electronic Music, Computing and Technology.

These degrees offer both depth and flexibility, enabling you to construct a programme of study that is exactly right for you:

BMus (Hons) Music
BMus (Hons) Popular Music
BMus/BSc (Hons) Electronic Music, Computing and Technology

We also offer programmes specifically designed for international students. See further information on our international students page.

Postgraduate programmes

There are three categories of Masters-level degrees: MA (focused on academic research); MMus (focused on practice-based research); and a joint honours MA from the Department of Music and Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship.

Most academic modules are open to students across degrees; practice-based modules are usually open only to students in the relevant degree cohort.
