Wilmott Dixon will be building and project managing the New Academic Building. They have a proven track record in education with a number of large build projects under their belt throughout the UK, encompassing primary schools, secondary schools, special educational needs schools, academies and further and higher education. They have previously completed work in this area for Lewisham Borough Council on the Crossways Academy, a state-of-the-art sixth form centre designed to meet the needs of young people and the local community. Wilmott Dixon have been commended for their high standards of work in the HE sector, receiving a Silver 'Considerate Constructors' Award for work a project at University Campus Suffolk. Wilmott Dixon were particularly commended for the works with high standards reached in being respectful and accountable; and for its exceptional achievements in the categories of 'environment', 'cleanliness', 'neighbour' relations, being 'safe' and 'responsible'.
Bernard Williams Associates (BWA) is project managing the building project. BWA is a private practice of Chartered Surveyors specialising in the discipline of Facilities Economics. The Practice is concerned with all financial and management aspects of providing and using land and buildings and the discipline itself is therefore an amalgam of the professional skills of project management, facilities management, quantity surveying and project management.
