Bona studied Drama in Seoul Institutue of the Arts in South Korea and a BA in Drama at Hull University. She currently runs an arts organisation 'Theatre For All (T4A)', a registered charity which promotes community arts. Bona formed the charity whilst studying for an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. The course inspired Bona to continue working on more ambitious cultural projects. 

Bona feels that Goldsmiths taught her how to create good collaborations and realise the need to remain open to new ideas. Meeting professionals from various areas of the arts sector helped Bona build a good network contacts and motivated her to create new and exciting arts projects. Bona Shin also runs a hair salon, whose customers act as ideal audiences for charity concerts and are strong supporters of Theatre For All's experimental activities, demonstrating that the arts are very close to our daily lives. Bona’s current projects include the New Malden Arts Festival, charity concerts, radio webcasting, globalised exhibitions 'Why Cameras? Not Bread?' and an interest in penguins.
