With a background in Organisational and Interpersonal Communication and contemporary dance, Caitlin Leadem moved to London from North Carolina, USA to attend Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2008.  After an exciting year of study at this institute and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dance Studies, Caitlin knew that while still wanting to be involved in dance and performance arts, on stage was not the place for her.

The MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths had everything Caitlin was looking for and she enrolled in the course in 2009.  Caitlin was very proud to have the opportunity to join the Goldsmiths community of highly accomplished professionals and alumni.  The emphasis on visiting arts organisations and the ready access Goldsmiths students have to learn from respected leaders of arts and culture in London and the UK was extremely beneficial. Whilst studying, Caitlin had the pleasure of working for Jonzi D Productions, an Associate Company of Sadler’s Wells.

After graduating, Caitlin worked as a publicist for a collection of performing comedians in Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival and was then offered the opportunity to work for Emery PR. Caitlin quickly became responsible for appearances, tours, and DVD releases for Sean Lock, Jeremy Hardy, Stephen K Amos and Tim Vine amongst others.

Caitlin looks forward to continue working in arts management and PR in London and will most certainly be utilising all the knowledge gained at Goldsmiths along with the opportunities her curriculum has provided.
