Irene Paganelli graduated in History and Theory of the Performing Arts in Rome and after working for Romaeuropa Festival for three seasons moved to London to study towards an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy.
The MA gave her a broader understanding of cultural policy in the UK and the role of culture in diplomacy. The key modules in developing her career as a theatre producer were Business Planning and Theatre Administration. She found the internship to be very useful as it allowed her to start developing a network of contacts in the UK, and included invaluable mentoring from producer Jon Harris.
Irene is now Producer working with theatre companies Le Mot Juste and Kandinsky. She is also producing the project Women of Hope by Arora Arts with the support of Amnesty International.
