For me the value of the course at Goldsmiths was its connections to people working in the creative industries. Hearing from and meeting people working in a wide variety of jobs and companies was a real eye opener and the placement at The Princes Trust in the second half of the year gave on-the-job experience that anchored the teaching.

I can trace a through-line from people I met and encouraged me during the placement to my first job, Development Assistant (/Manager) at Hampstead Theatre to Administrator at the Independent Theatre Council to my current role. Moonlighting as an usher in the West End during my time at Goldsmiths did no harm either. It was a busy, seminal year for me.
