Yukiyo Sugiyama is the manager of Ishibashi Memorial Hall, Ueno Gakuen in Tokyo.

She graduated from Ueno Gakuen, specialising in piano performance, and as a recipient of a fellowship from the Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme continued her study at Goldsmiths, where she gained an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. During her time in the UK she was appointed as an intern to the Development Department of the Historic Royal Palaces, and later held the position of administrator to the arts and business consultancies Creative Arts Net andSound Strategies.

She has also fulfilled administrative positions with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Suntory Hall (Tokyo), Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras, Japan Council of Performers' Organizations, Classical.com, Quartet Excelsior (Tour Manager / Producer), Japan Matsuri 2009 (London) and the Barbican Centre (London).

Yukiyo has a particular interest in the integration of the Arts within Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, and education.
