(Access to Higher Education Diploma in Music)
Open to both instrumentalists (any instruments) and singers, this is an ideal opportunity to perform a wide variety of jazz and popular music with groups in mixed line-ups. You should be competent on your instrument and/or voice and have reasonable fluency in music reading and knowledge of chord symbols. We don’t assume that you have any previous experience of ensemble playing. The course covers ensemble playing, small-group composition/ arranging skills, and musical direction and rehearsal techniques; it culminates in a final public performance.
