This course is for anyone who wants to write fiction but doesn’t know how to start or gets stuck after a page or two. The course looks at how to get an idea for a story, ways of creating characters and plotting what happens next. Topics discussed include how to plan time to write and what to do when inspiration fails or confidence falters. Information is given on agents and publishers. Particular care is taken that feedback on work shared in the group is supportive and constructive. By the end of the course, you can expect to have written several stories and perhaps to have embarked on a novel.
