About the co-founders
Professors William Latham and Frederic Fol Leymarie
William is a well-known figure in the world of computer games. He founded a major UK games development studio, and was CEO for 10 years, producing the hit games The Thing for Playstation, Xbox and PC (published by Vivendi Universal and Konami), and Evolva for PC (published by Virgin). From 1987 to 1993 he was a pioneer of evolutionary graphics and computer art, and was a Research Fellow at IBM Research Laboratories in Winchester. In 2003 he founded Games Audit Ltd, a project management and technical audit operation for VCs and investors, bonders and games publishers of which he is CEO. In 2007 he joined Goldsmiths as a Professor of Computing to lead this new MSc.
Frederic is a leading computational geometer, a specialist of 3D shape modelling and analysis, was project manager of European R&D projects for Thomson-CSF, and founded and managed the SHAPE Laboratory at Brown University, a multi-million dollar R&D venture in the areas of virtual reality and archaeology. In 2004 he joined Goldsmiths as a Professor of Computing to lead a new MSc and develop R&D activities in visual computing and related fields.

* Dr Marco Gillies, expert in VR, virtual characters, 3D animation – Previously at UCL. Joined Goldsmiths in 2008. Leads the teaching of animation, AI and physics in games
