How to apply
In order to apply, you will need to download and complete the Application form (A2). Please include a statement of interest detailing your academic and personal background and motivations for applying for this particular programme. Please include a letter of reference from a senior academic who is able to comment on your academic track record and suitability for postgraduate study.
If English is not your first language please also include any suitable English language certificates or results from language tests that you have taken.
Send the completed application form including all documentation by email to admissions@gold.ac.uk. If you have been in contact with one of the programme directors, please also copy them in to this email. You can also send application form and documentation by post to:

Due to the popularity of the programme we recommend that you apply early, i.e. by spring 2011 the latest. Places on the programme are limited and we allocate places to suitable candidates on an ongoing basis.
If your application is successful you will be asked to pay a deposit of £450 to secure your place. The deposit is credited against tuition fees at enrollment.
How to fund the course
There are at least three ways in which students can fund their Master's degree in Music, Mind and Brain.
Self-funding
All compulsory lectures, labs, and tutorials of the programme are timetabled on Mondays and Thursdays, making it possible for students to undertake a small amount of paid employment if necessary. However, since the programme is rather demanding in terms of complementary reading, student contributions in class, and assessed coursework, we would recommend that you do not take on a significant amount of extracurricular work.
Goldsmiths funding and other public funding schemes
Goldsmiths offers some funding opportunities to international as well as home/EU students. There are also a variety of funding schemes for postgraduate study at the national and European level. Information regarding these schemes is compiled in the guide Funding your postgraduate study. Please also take a look at the College's fees and funding page.
Unfortunately, the Department of Psychology does not have any bursaries to fund Master's students, nor does the Music Mind and Brain programme offer any funded places at the present time.
