How to apply

Regulations for entry

You cannot be admitted unless you:

  • have been formally offered a place, and accepted that offer via GTTR

  • satisfy the entrance requirements for the particular programme

  • agree to abide by the College Rules and Regulations for students

  • have paid or guaranteed payment of the programme fees

  • satisfy the College as to your occupational health fitness for the programme

  • have received a satisfactory enhanced disclosure certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (see Fitness to train) or relevant criminal background check.

  • have satisfied the suitability requirement of all relevant professional, regulatory and statutory bodies, such as the General Teaching Council and Independent Safeguarding Authority, as below.

Registering with the General Teaching Council for England

All trainee teachers starting with the initial teacher training programme must provisionally register with the General Teaching Council for England (GTC) within 28 days of starting their course. We will send you a suitability declaration form as part of the admissions process.
