The MRes programme has been recognised for 'one plus three' funding by the ESRC; it is therefore possible to apply to the ESRC for funding, and to apply for doctoral funding thereafter.

MPhil and PhD study in Politics
The Department has a thriving research student community undertaking research in areas such as local government, contemporary class theory, political culture and anarchism, and social and political theory.
ESRC Recognition: Students applying to study a PhD who already hold a recognised Masters research training (ESRC) course from any other University can also apply for ESRC funding to do doctoral studies at Goldsmiths.
