Assuring Quality at Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths aims to ensure a high-quality learning experience through a commitment to excellence and innovation in learning and teaching, an up-to-date and stimulating learning environment, a reflective and well-designed curriculum, which supports the aspirations of students and the needs of society, and enhancement of teaching quality. The College’s Quality and Standards Framework covers policies and procedures to assure the standards of its awards and the quality of learning opportunities and to support the enhancement of learning and teaching.

The Quality Office is responsible for ensuring that the College’s quality assurance policies and procedures are effective and support the enhancement of the student learning experience. The Office manages key processes, including Annual Programme Reviews, student feedback systems, periodic programme/departmental  reviews, collaborative provision arrangements and supports external audits. The Office also monitors the application of the College’s policies and procedures by departments, and carries out the analysis of the National Student Survey ( NSS ) results for the College. The Office works closely with academic and administrative departments across the College, particularly the Goldsmiths’ Learning Enhancement Unit, as well as with the Students’ Union.
