Liz is an experienced higher education director combining transformational change and strategic vision, with experience of service delivery as well as core operational skills. She has been Deputy-Chair of AMOSSHE, the UK Student Services Association which advocates and promotes the student experience. She was Director of Student Life at the University of Salford from 2007, a sector-leading student support and engagement service, before taking on the role of College Registrar in the College of Arts and Social Sciences.  Previously, she was Director / Associate Dean – Nations, Regions and Students for the Open University in the Faculty of Health & Social Care.

Liz grew up in Cheshire and went on to Worcester College, Oxford, to study English Language and Literature.  She is married with 4 children.


Rebecca Pearson-Close

Personal Assistant

‌Rebecca began life as a Yorkshire lass, but has now grown accustomed to soft southern ways.  She has had a varied and interesting career to date, ranging from photography, investment banking and, latterly, working for INTO, a private higher educational provider for overseas students.  Away from the office, Rebecca is a passionate cook and gardener and enjoys spending time each year travelling through Asia.

Donna Hartwell

Donna grew up in Australia where, as a result of reading too many English boarding school novels, she became a committed anglophile.  She worked in the music industry for many years before coming to Goldsmiths, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Public Policy in 1996.
