Regulation 29: Graduate Employment

29.1 The Careers Service shall in conjunction with the College make every reasonable attempt to obtain first destination information from the target group of undergraduate and postgraduate students. To this end, Heads of Department shall request their staff to take all steps to encourage students to return their reply paid questionnaire and to relay any information which they hold to the Careers Service. Departments are advised to request a 'forward' telephone number from students before they take their final exams.

29.2 Departments shall actively encourage attendance at all careers events set up for students in their department.

29.3 Each department shall appoint a member of its staff to have special responsibility for careers information and liaison (Careers Liaison Tutors).

29.4 Tutors shall make students aware throughout their studies of the need to plan a career.

29.5 The Careers Service shall send departments posters advertising careers events. These should be displayed on noticeboard space designated for Careers.
