Meet the Student Recruitment and Outreach Team

The Student Recruitment and Outreach team have a wealth of experience and knowledge to support your school and college during each admissions cycle.

Kieron Broadhead – Head of Marketing, Outreach and Recruitment

k.broadhead@gold.ac.uk

Each year, Goldsmiths recruits around 1,600 undergraduate students and 1,500 postgraduate students, on a full or part-time basis from across the UK and the EU. Kieron is responsible for overseeing the strategy behind this. His wider team also manages open days, presentation ceremonies, scholarships and bursaries, course enquiries and marketing.

Kieron’s top tip for making a successful application to university: “Be realistic; apply to courses for which the entry requirements are achievable for you.”

Sally Grimley – UK/EU Student Recruitment Manager

s.grimley@gold.ac.uk

Sally is responsible for all the activity relating to recruiting students from the UK and EU. This involves UCAS events, schools liaison, on campus events, partnerships with the British Council and the Council for International Schools and course enquiries.

Sally’s top tip for making a successful application to university: “Do your research! There is a multitude of places to seek information on the courses available to you. Make sure you find exactly the ones to suit you before making your application. www.ucas.com is a great place to start.”

Claire Chalmers – Student Recruitment Officer

c.chalmers@gold.ac.uk

Claire ensures that potential students have a wealth of opportunities to visit us on campus by arranging open evenings, masterclasses and applicant days. As well as working with those interested in Postgraduate study she works closely with schools and colleges to deliver the right information to students applying through UCAS.

Claire's top tip for making a successful application to university: "Give yourself plenty of time. Doing enough research, writing a strong personal statement and completing the application form can be a time-consuming process. Allow yourself a good few months and invest your time in your future."

Kieron Bird - Student Recruitment Assistant

k.bird@gold.ac.uk

Kieron ensures the team can support as many events and schools/colleges as possible. He also attends a vast number of events and delivers a great deal of IAG throughout the year.

Kieron's top tip for making a successful application to university: "Enjoy it! Going to University should be a fantastic experience and making decisions should be exciting. Although it's a serious decision and a serious process, remember that the goal is to find a course and a university that you will be really happy with."
