Art Summer Schools

The Widening Participation team works with Goldsmiths' Department of Art to run an annual summer school for students in Year 12 or 13, who are interested in studying creative courses at university.

The Art Summer School is a joint project between the Department of Art and the Widening Participation team. After a pause due to the pandemic, the programme returned in 2023 with 15 young people coming to Goldsmiths' campus to work with staff from the Department of Art, Goldsmiths alumni, and current Goldsmith's students.

The programme prioritises working with college students who are underrepresented in higher education. By taking part you will receive a guaranteed interview for our Fine Art programmes, should you wish to apply to Goldsmiths and meet the minimum entry criteria.

The programme aims to give participants new artistic skills, a better understanding of what it is like to study art at a degree level, build their confidence, and showcase their work with a final celebratory exhibition.

Applications for this year's Art Summer School will open in spring 2024 and further details will be shared on this page.
