Goldsmiths Teachers' Centre

We have been very much encouraged by the positive outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection of Primary and Secondary ITE in the Goldsmiths partnership. As you may know, we were rated ‘good’, with Ofsted, commenting particularly on "the outstanding contribution of Goldsmiths to widening participation in initial teacher education and enabling all trainees to become exceptionally well prepared to teach in a diverse society; high recruitment of trainees from many diverse groups and backgrounds; creativity and innovation, helping trainees be imaginative and take risks in teaching."

Based on these values, the Goldsmiths Teachers' Centre launched in the academic year 2011/12. The work of the Centre will be strongly linked to that of schools and will intend to work closely colleagues in school to create a dynamic learning opportunities for teachers, pupils and other adults working with children.
