Help academic departments to improve their strategic planning processes and adapt to changes in the external environment |

Work with the Research office to provide action learning sets and other focussed staff development for researchers |
3. Learning and teaching |
Work with colleagues in the Learning and Teaching Office and CELT to coordinate staff development initiatives for teachers |
4. Student Experience |
Help the Students’ Union and academic departments to develop an effective mentoring scheme for students |
5. Equality and diversity |
Work with HR Equal Opportunities Advisor and Student Support Services Disability Coordinator to provide relevant staff development programmes |
6. Business and community |
Work with the Business Development Unity to develop consultancy and entrepreneurial skills amongst staff. Work with Communications and Publicity to facilitate a Staff Volunteering scheme which will create valuable personal development opportunities for staff without interfering with their ‘day job’. This scheme will complement, and learn from, the very successful Students’ Union volunteering programme. |
7. Finance |
Generate a modest income from external coaching and consultancy to enhance the resources available for staff development. |
8. Infrastructure |
Help staff in all departments to develop their customer service skills and provide a more responsive service to their internal and external customers. |
9. Human resources |
Work with colleagues in the Human Resources department to welcome, support and develop all staff in Goldsmiths. |
10. Communications, alumni and stakeholders |
Work with the Development Office and Communications and Publicity to develop ‘brand ambassadors’. |
11. Management and administration |
Provide focussed leadership, management and team building development to help create a unified administration and support the enhancement of senior management capacity. |
