Unreasonable lighting and objects that don't make sense

My practice is currently influenced by post-modern French feminist thought and for this project I am creating a series of objects which implicitly reference contemporary critique.   Having explored the hegemonic dominance of vision in Western society and looked at the social and cultural implications of visual primacy, particularly with respect to gender and subjectivity, I was inspired to set out to ‘democratise the senses'.   My aim was to design lighting/objects that subvert visual dominance, stimulate and heighten the other senses and evoke multi-sensory experiences.
