Anna Furse: Workshop and Laboratory Research 2005-7

Woman’s Writing for Performance, University of Lancaster

A three-year, AHRB funded programme of practice-as- research events with a focus on ways in which women practitioners ‘write’ for contemporary performance directed by Professor Elaine Aston and Professor Gerry Harris. Anna ran workshops, gave talks, and chaired discussions.

The Choreographic Lab, University of Northampton: Articulating Dance – critical enquiry in movement practices

Anna was invited on a 2 year research project alongside the directors of the project, Dr. Vida Midgelow and Dr. Jane Bacon and artists Gill Clarke,  Guy Dartnell Sara Giddens, Simon Ellis, Kerryn Wise, Yvon Bonenfant and Robert Daniels. Her main project Graphic Body is a digital interactive research tool in Anna’s foundation training methodology. It will soon be online on Goldsmiths website, supported by a CELT fellowship 2007-8. Anna also developed and designed a dialogic structure The Salon in the lab. This also took place at Dance4, NottDance in 2006 and she adapted it as part of a workshop she ran at the Soho Theatre in 2006 Theatre as Metaphor.
