Goldsmiths Bursary Scheme 2011/12

Latest News

Please Note:

The SLC are currently in the process of sending out your Bursary Confirmation Letters on our behalf. You should receive your letter shortly. It wlll also be available for you to view and download from your Student Finance account.

The letters are sent to the address you provided on your Student Finance application for 11/12, and not necessarily your term time address.

In order for you to receive the Bursary Confirmation letter and your subsequent payments you and your parents MUST have given 'consent to share' your financial information to the SLC in order for us to approve your bursary.

The Goldsmiths Bursary scheme was established to provide additional financial support for students from low income backgrounds who may otherwise be disadvantaged or deterred from coming to study at Goldsmiths.

A non-repayable Goldsmiths Bursary worth up to £1,000 per year is available to all full-time undergraduate students who started their studies after September 2006 and who are receiving a full or partial maintenance / special support grant from the government. The bursary is available to help with course-related costs, including books, travel, equipment, and help with childcare.

Please note that your eligibility for a bursary will not affect any entitlement to student finance from the government. Click here for information on what help is available.

Bursary Cancellation Letter

If you have received a bursary CANCELLATION LETTER, this could be because you are being reassessed by Student Finance (in which case you will automatically be reassessed for the bursary at a later stage), or because you are no longer eligible for the bursary based on the criteria set out on this page.

This page sets out what funding is available in 2011/12 for both new and continuing students.
