Dr Dawn Rose (2016): Dawn’s thesis title was ‘On becoming and being a Musician: A mixed methods study of musicianship in children and adults’, successfully defended in July 2016. Dawn is now a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hertfordshire, working with Professor Peter Lovatt in the Dance Psychology Lab investigating the use of music and dance for people with Parkinson's. A list of her publications can be found here. In 2015, Dawn was also involved in the sell-out devised theatre production 'The Happiness Project'. This interdisciplinary project between academics, scientists and young people was performed at The Roundhouse in London and the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015. For this project, she received an award for public engagement from the Warden of Goldsmiths, University of London.

Dr Alana James (2012): Thesis title: The use and impact of peer support schemes in UK secondary schools. This was funded by an ESRC (CASE) award, in partnership with the NSPCC. The thesis also includes an investigatyion of peer support and other anti-bullying work in Japan and South Korea. Alana is currently a Lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London where she works on projects investigating outcomes associated with mentoring, and children’s attitudes towards the Police. Alana is also interested in science communication work, and am an Associate Editor for The Psychologist. 

Dr Robert Slonje (2011): Robert’s work focused on cyberbullying, particularly in Swedish children and adoelscents. See a full list of his publications

Dr Carolina Sciplino (2007): Dr Sciplino is now a lecturer in Psychology at St Mary’s University, London.

Dr Tatiana Quadrello (2006): Dr Quadrello is the Engagement Manager for Cancer Research UK at Imperial College.

Dr Tomoyuki Kanetsuna (2004): Dr Kanetsuna is now at Koshien University in Japan.

Dr Roz Dixon (2001): Dr Dixon is based at Birkbeck, University of London, and is currently Pro-Vice Master with responsibility for Access and Community Engagement.

Dr Claire Monks (2000): Dr Monks is the Programme Leader and Deputy Head of Psychology and the University of Greenwich.

Dr Rowan Myron (1999): Dr Myron is an Associate Professor in Healthcare Management at the University of West London.

Dr John Sutton (1998): Dr Sutton is the Managing Editor of The Psychologist, the magazine of the British Psychological Society.
