Visit Goldsmiths
If you're thinking of studying at Goldsmiths, we recommend you come and visit us to have a look around.
Open Days
Our open days are ideal opportunities to meet tutors and current students, explore the campus, and find out more about what Goldsmiths can offer you. You'll have a chance to speak to representatives from all our academic departments, the Accommodation Office and Students' Union, and discuss the financial aspects of your study with our Student Funding and Information Office and Fees and Awards staff. We also run presentations on completing your UCAS form, as well as question and answer sessions on the Goldsmiths student experience, and information sessions for parents and guardians.
If you'd like further information call 020 7717 2997, or e-mail the Open Day team, or see our Open Days page to find out when our next open day is. Please note that you'll need to book a place in advance.
Departmental open days and applicant days
Some departments hold their own open days - contact the relevant academic department for details (see Departments list). Once you have applied, you may be invited to one of the applicant days held by selected departments. These events normally give you more of an insight into the department's individual place in Goldsmiths and information about the likely structure and content of their degrees.
Organised Tours
Guided campus tours
These run throughout the year and give you the opportunity to look around the Goldsmiths campus during term-time. The tour is designed for a small group and is led by a current student, so you can ask them about their own experience of being a Goldsmiths student. To book online see our Campus Tours page.
Group visits and tours
Groups of between five and thirty Year 12 students can be given a guided tour of Goldsmiths by current students. Practical workshops on UCAS applications and undergraduate student finance and budgeting may also be included in the programme. Ask your sixth form tutor to contact the Student Recruitment Officer, tel 020 7919 7572 to arrange group visits, giving at least four weeks' notice.
Other visits
Informal visits
You are welcome to come and have a look round Goldsmiths during working hours (for safety and security reasons some areas will be restricted). It's best to visit during term-time when there are lots of students around the campus. You can collect a self-guided tour plan and campus map from the Admissions Office, Room 115 in the Richard Hoggart (Main) Building (the Office is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday). If you'd like to visit a particular department, please contact them in advance to make an appointment (see Departments list); please note that visits to the Department of Visual Arts are restricted to open days.
Student shows and performances
Undergraduate and postgraduate student shows and performances are held throughout the year, as are public lectures, seminars and lunchtime recitals. Visiting one of these events is a great way to get a feel of what Goldsmiths is all about; download our Goldsmiths events leaflet [pdf].
