FAQs

How is work distributed over the year?

During the first term there is a slightly heavier concentration of lectures and seminars (approximately three of each per week). In addition there will be supervised practice sessions weekly as well as unsupervised filming and editing exercises. In the second term there is one lecture/seminar course and weekly seminar presentations by visiting filmmakers as well as supervised and unsupervised practice. One assessed piece of work (for the screening course) is due in February. The remaining assessed course work is due in early May. Between May and September you will be shooting and editing your final film and preparing the accompanying essay, both of which are due in mid-September.
