What is visual anthropology?
There is no easy answer to this. Our programme orientation tends to be inclusive and student productions are influenced by a variety of documentary, fine art, advocacy and observational approaches. Pursuing filmmaking in an academic department permits a freedom not so often encountered in other settings.
