Should I have my own equipment?
Not necessary, but not unhelpful. Many students now do much of their editing on their own laptops. Please do not buy equipment without first consulting with staff to ensure compatibility with Departmental facilities. Students with NTSC equipment (video standard in USA and Japan, for example) should pay particular attention to issues of compatibility.
