For the year 2009-10 I am running the core Postgraduate Diploma course, Histories of Art.

Research interests

The politics of Surrealism and its legacies

Socially-engaged art collectives since 1945, the Situationist International, art-activism and contemporary institutional critique.

Cultural theory, particularly Marxism and post-structuralism.

I am currently preparing a book on the history of the idea of revolution-as-festival, from Surrealism to contemporary art-activism.
